Hi there crafty friends...it's my day at A2Z Scrapbooking - our challenge is New Beginnings. I have a couple of New Baby cards to share with you.
Aren't
these the cutest little toys. Last month I took part in Online Card
Classes, Mask-erade class, so put into practice one of the techniques I
learned. I stamped the owl first and then made a mask out of Post It
tape before stamping the fox and bunny. These stamps are from this set. I used some Copics to colour them in. My background was made with this stamp
I white embossed it before using some Distress inks (Tumbled Glass,
Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire) to sponge on. I
finished off with a die cut and matching sentiments from this set
I die cut the Congrats in white and then once I stuck it on, went round
the edge with a black maker. I white embossed the rest of the
sentiment onto the blue card.
My second card uses some WPlus9 stamps and dies together with Hero Arts stamps and dies. I coloured my backgrounds, the elephant and balloons with my Derwent Inktense pencils. I used the same die and stamp set I used on my first card and the die cuts on the balloons are from Alphabet Uppercase
dies (currently not available in our shop but you can CUSTOM Order it
in the Store. Just click on the REQUEST CUSTOM ORDER form on the store
HOME Page!)

My last card for Creative Craft Cottage.
Today is my final day as a design team member at Creative Craft Cottage. I've enjoyed my time on the team and a big thanks to Eileen for having me there.
So for my final card....
Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe and I used a pocket cut. As I don't have an electronic cutter I used the PDF files and printed the pocket onto my striped PP and fussy cut. I hand punched some holes and linked them up to make my stitching. Add a couple of black enamel dots for rivets. My white sentiment is a Peelcraft sticker. I trimmed down a tag and stamped and embossed the Kaisercraft sentiment.
Today I will be in Singapore enjoying some sunshine and warmth on my way to Prague to start our European Adventure.

What's the word, bird?
Our flight does not leave till 11.50pm tonight, and I'm all packed,
Yes, that's all I'm taking for 3 weeks! I've been really frugal on what I've packed... and it's been a raining afternoon, so what better thing to do than to do some colouring....
First up, a scrapling with PP and a card piece sitting on my desk. The Tim Holtz bird was coloured with Mermaid Lagoon and Abandon Coral distress inks and fussy cut. The sentiment comes from a Hero Arts set. I stamped it, and then cut the sentiment up to fit on my mini card. Inside it says "Happy Birthday, you old bird!"

Next up some Copic colouring, cut out with a Spellbinders oval. Sentiment from Rubbadubbadoo. PP is from Kaisercraft. Used a sketch I saw on Pinterest.
and finally
The bird is coloured with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment is from a Dana Wakely set. Once I stamped it, I used my Scor Pal to emboss lines down the card (hard to see in the photo) to give a bit of texture. Finished with some green washi to ground my bird and a couple of punched notes.
Off to change now... hard to dress in warm weather clothes (first stop Singapore) when it's wet and cooler here.
thanks for stopping by.

Critter Stack...
I've used a Critter stack on my card. I used some colour pencils and Gamsol to colour my image. I used a Spellbinders circle die and an embossed background. I used some Core-dinations card and sanded the embossing back.
A line of PP down each side and a white embossed Hero Arts Sentiment finished off the card.
Well it's the day that I head off on my European adventure. We leave at 11.55pm night, heading first to Singapore for two days before heading onto Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik before heading home. I'll be away till late on the 13th July... but never fear, I will have a few scheduled posts for my DT work. And maybe a post or two from Europe if I get time and the internet! If not... the there will be some posts afterwards.
Adieu for now.

More Pink Lemonade Mood Board
I have been very inspired by the Pink Lemonade Mood Board at StampNation's online class "In the Mood". My card today was inspired by one of the photos in the board.
I was inspired by the top right hand corner. The balloons reminded me of the Bokeh technique so that's what I went with.
I sponged on some distress inks in Cracked Pistachio and Abandoned Coral and then used some white Colourbox ink and a homemade stencil to add my white circles. Added a gold die cut and the matching sentiment from Winnie & Walter. Added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
I am entering this into the Die Cut Gold challenge at City Crafter Challenge blog
All packed and ready to go tomorrow. So packing away the crafting tools for 3 1/2 weeks. A few schedule posts are on the way. Back in the morning with my next Die Cut Diva post.

Recycled flowers and Pink Lemonade.
I did a card using some Hero Arts layering Hibiscus flowers a couple of weeks ago....
and although it was nice... it didn't really grab me. So I pulled the flowers off and recycled them.
I added some Copic makers to the stamped Hibiscus to add some dimension. I used a similar design to my card from yesterday. Today's die is one from Britannia Dies and the birthday is a Winnie & Walters stamp. Added some gold and red Kindyglitz.
And what you might ask is Pink Lemonade? Well I've purchased the online class at StampNation called In The Mood. I can highly recommend it! It's all about getting inspired by Mood Boards. The first board is called Pink Lemonade and as the title suggests included some pretty pinks and a greeny blue colour.
I started by using some Chalk ink and a Couture Creations embossing folder to do a faux letterpress technique. I mounted this onto the pink card and made the flowers with the same card. I used a Tim Holtz Tattered flowers die, a Stampin' Up punch and a Martha Stewart punch to make the flowers and leaves. I inked up some white card with the aqua ink and used a Hero Arts sentiment. Really happy with the results.

June Birthdays
Hi there. June has lots of birthdays for my friends and family... including my own yesterday (14th). I had a lovely birthday that started the night before with an awesome Italian dinner with my hubby, son and his fiancee. They stayed the night so was nice to have them there for the morning. Melissa's birthday was the 2nd June so we celebrated both.
I have four workmates having June birthdays too... Got three of the four cards made - one is this one
then there is this one
this is for Anouschka. She is a fun loving lady who enjoys her glass of wine. Uses a Bugaboo image. I used a new embossing folder from WRMK's. It's a 3D embossing folder. In real life it is simply stunning.
This card was inspired by one I saw on FB from Melania Deasy I love the pretty background she did. I used some distress inks and sponged them on. I added a few glue dots and added some multi coloured glitter. I then dotted some gold Kindyglitz , splattered some watered down gold ink and some water splatters. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp word with gold glitter paper and used gold ink to stamp the Hero Arts sentiment and clear embossed. it. The flowers are by WPlus9 and inked up with distress inks. The base card is coloured one that was with a magazine.
I'm working on the fourth one tonight. It is a similar design to the one above. Just using some different flowers, die cut and sentiment. I better go and get it finished.

More Watercolouring
I did some more watercolouring over the weekend for the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop.... You could enter up to three times. Here's one of them. The last one will be included in my post of the 22nd of June...
I used a Hero Arts Night and Day Flowers stamp which I white embossed. I then used my Derwent Inktense pencils to colour them. A nice pale blue background wash finished with the Hero Arts sentiment and some white enamel dots. I added some black grosgrain ribbon. If you are interested in any Hero Arts products do pop over to the Esty store for A2Z Scrapbooking and if you spend more than $25, use my code Dawn15 to receive a 15% discount (before shipping and taxes)
And here's a sneak peek of the last card
I'm racing at the moment to get all my DT work up to date for the next month. In less than two weeks now I'll be heading off for three and a bit weeks holiday. Another European Adventure for the Turley's. We are heading to Prague to catch up with our friends ~ Michael and Yvonne ~ spending around 8 nights with them between Prague and Vienna. We then leave them and head off for 2 nights in each of the following cities...Budapest, Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. On our way over we are spending a night in Singapore as we arrive in early (around 6.30am) and don't fly our till 11.00pm the next night. We have a short lay-over in Zurich before Prague. And two on the way home... short one in Frankfurt and then 7 hours in Shanghai. Hoping to get into the city for a couple of hours. That makes 9 countries in 23 days!
thanks for stopping by. 😄

Watercolouring Wonders
I have a few birthdays this month that I need to make a card for, and with heading on holiday on the 20th, some have to be made early. Just the excuse I needed to pull out the watercolours and play along
This one was inspired by a card I saw from Carrisa ( a DT on Pretty Pink Posh)
I used a Derwent Inktense pencil to scribble onto my watercolour paper then used a wet paint brush to blend it out. I used a couple of colours of pink and then used the end of the pencil to flick some splatters. I die cut the rose (Couture Creations) from gold card, the Walter & Winnie Happy from black card and white embossed the sentiment (note to self: make sure it's straight!) I added some glossy accents to the die cut. I used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Actually, I don't have any black sequins so took some clear ones and used a Copic marker to colour. Worked really well!
Thanks Paulina for such a fun hop. And to all those talented artists out there who have done videos and tutorials that I have avidly viewed. You are all so awesome!

Congrats on your new pad!
It's my day to share over at A2Z Scrapbooking . Our challenge is New Beginnings. And
what's nicer than new accommodation.
I had fun with this card. It's using a couple of different Digital sets from Hero Arts. I merged the cloud background from "Silly Scapes" with the houses from the same set. The Congratulations is from "Say It in Pieces". The final part of the sentiment is using my computer with a Typewriter font. Once I printed it out, I had awesome fun just adding lots of Copic colours to make a fun scene. Matted the printed panel onto purple and then blue card and added to a red card base. Added some Wink of Stella and some sequins to finish off.
Supplies:

Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh
